The current CFPP team combines wide experience in administration, program design, monitoring and evaluation and empirical research with a youthful flair and imagination.  Our current management team includes:

Mohammad Najeeb Azizi, Ph.D.   Chairman
Dr. Najeeb Azizi is an Economist and development expert with over ten years of experience in academia, public and private sectors in Afghanistan and abroad.  He frequently researches and writes on the Afghan economy, society and politics, and presents as a guest speaker at national and international conferences.  He has served as Adviser to different government ministries and has recently been Economic and Budget Adviser to the Parliament of Afghanistan.  He is a Visiting Lecturer at Kabul University and his areas of research interest are public economics, international trade, public policy, macroeconomic modelling, foreign aid and post-conflict institution building. 

Saifullah Abid,     Research Director
Mr. Saifuallah Abid serves as the Advisor to the Minister of Finance on Regional Cooperation.  He has several years of experience in aid coordination.  He has earned his MA from York University, UK in Post-Conflict Studies and B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Economics from International Islamic University, Islamabad.  Mr. Abid has a keen interest in the theory of pubic choice, development issues, post-conflict challenges and state-building.

Nargis Nehan,      Institutional Director
Ms. Nargis Nehan is a prominent lady highly respected in the public and private sectors and by the international donor community in Afghanistan.  She has been working in various capacities for Afghanistan over the last decade, and is well known for her assertive reforms in the Treasury Department of the Ministry of Finance, where she served as the Director General.  In 2004-2005 she served as the Vice Chancellor of Administration at Kabul University before joining the Ministry of Education as the Senior Administer and Finance Adviser.  Ms. Nehan is interested in financial system development, human resources management, public administration reforms, aid coordination and business development.


Sibghatullah Hamid,     Operation Director & Spokesman
Mr. Sibghatullah Hamid has a degree in Law and postgraduate diploma in Management Sciences.  Mr. Hamid has worked as a consultant and public sector analyst with different firms.  He has been a successful CEO of Afghan Globe Consultants and recently began service as Media Adviser for the Ministry of Education.

Jalil Ahmad Jumriyani, M.B.A  Admin. & Finance Director
Mr. Jalil Jumriyani is an accountant by profession and has been working for the government of Afghanistan for the last five years.  Mr. Jumriyani has a deep knowledge of administrative units and has travelled extensively to different provinces in Afghanistan.  He has been working with the Ministry of Finance for the last four year and currently is the Director General of the Customs Department. 

Salim Hayran, Ph.D,     Information Management Director
Dr. Salim Hayran is a young information management expert.  He has been educated in the United Kingdom and has worked for prestigious firms in the UK.   After the fall of Taliban he moved to Afghanistan and has served different public and private institutions as a consultant.  Currently, he is working at the Ministry of Education as Teachers’ Registration Adviser.
